Fraylumen

Jesús Mora Astorga, from Medina Sidonia, presented in his watercolors as Fraylumén, is a self-taught watercolor fan. His love for painting comes from his mother who painted in oil, acrylic, charcoal and also modeled clay. In 2007 he held a joint exhibition of painting and clay sculpture with her at the Most Excellent Town Hall of Medina Sidonia.

After an artistic break, he did not seriously return to the brushes until June 2019, finishing the year with an exhibition of his watercolors at Salón Calle Muro in Medina Sidonia. At the beginning of 2020 he exhibited in Sanlúcar de Barrameda at the El Lantero Restaurant. In 2021 he will exhibit at the Medina Sidonia Open Days. In the summer of 2022 his first exhibition in Vejer at the Bejines Bar. At the end of 2022 he will exhibit at Café Central in Tarifa. In 2023 he exhibits at the Quintaesencia premises in Tarifa where the works currently remain.

In 2024 he exhibits a total of 21 works at the Vejer Museum, where it can be said that it is the most complete exhibition to date. Selected from among 520 works for the 2024 Córdoba International Watercolor Festival, it was awarded a highly commended    among the 230 selected.
